We have ZF-fitted buses in my town, and I always hear the gearbox screaming. And the big difference between the normal shifting and the kickdown with this setup of the gearbox is that with normal shifting the gearbox will lock up the second gear and when using the kickdown, the gearbox will lockup the first gear.
